Montreal: Film and tv producer Suzanne Girard (Productions Bleu Blanc Rouge) has joined the L’Equipe Spectra group. Active with Productions La Fete from ’97 to ’99, Girard produced or exec produced several major tv dramas, including the A&E Network miniseries P.T. Barnum, Armistead Maupin’s More Tales of the City and Nuremberg, coproduced with Alliance Atlantis Communications, and sold to tnt and ctv.

Girard’s move to Spectra indicates the company’s intention to enter into international film and tv drama production, says Luc Chatelain, vp, finance and television.

L’Equipe Spectra member companies include Sogestalt, Productions Sogestalt and Amerimage-Spectra, which combined produced 37 tv projects in ’99, and exporter Spectra International Distribution.
