* Golden Nymphe for Bonhoeffer
Eric Till’s Bonhoeffer: Agent of Grace, coproduced by Norflicks Productions and Cinecom Teleart of Germany, has snagged the Golden Nymphe award for best film at the Monte Carlo Television Festival. Till cowrote the script and directed a cast which included Robert Joy, Ulrich Tukur, R.H. Thomson and John Neville. Citytv prebought the picture.
* AV Preservation Trust names Masterworks
Two National Film Board productions, animation pioneer Norman McLaren’s Oscar-winning Neighbours (1952) and the Claude Jutra feature film Mon Oncle Antoine (released in 1971) are among 12 Masterworks 2000 designated by AV Preservation Trust.ca.
Other selections in the film and tv categories are: Don Shebib’s Goin’ Down the Road; the Radio-Canada drama series La Famille Plouffe (Episode 1, Nov. 4, 1953); the Beryl Fox documentary The Mills of the Gods: Vietnam, produced by Douglas Leiterman in 1964; and the 1954 cbc comedy The Wayne and Shuster Hour (Episode – Rinse the Blood Off My Toga, written and performed by Johnny Wayne and Frank Shuster).
