Montreal: Amidst a barrage of unattributed claims in the press, legal suits old and new, and police investigations, Cinar (www.cinar.com) has reported the purchase of Twin Sisters Productions, a 13-year-old privately held Akron, Ohio-based children’s educational record label and publisher. The purchase price is us$9 million cash, and Cinar says additional sums may be advanced based on performance over the next four years.

Twin Sisters (www.twinsisters.com) becomes a division of Cinar Education. Its audio products are marketed to parents and teachers, and are aimed at the pre-kindergarten to grade 6 set.
