SRC ratifies agreement

Montreal: Members of the Radio-Canada technicians and craftspersons union starf have ratified a new four-year collective agreement by a vote of 79%.

The agreement gives starf members more than 11% in pay increases and bonuses over the term, short of the 15% sought by the union. The union did not formally recommend the settlement to its 1,350 members. The agreement also includes a provision granting permanent job status to employees who have worked for 24 months or 4,000 hours.
