telefilm Canada’s Montreal office is holding an information session for Quebec feature film producers planning to file applications to the Feature Film Fund or to the Canadian Television Fund (Equity Investment Program/Feature Film) for the 2000/2001 cycle. The session will be held on Monday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Montreal.

Following are the key 2000/2001 dates for Telefilm Canada Feature Film Fund production applications (Quebec operations):

First application deadline Jan. 17

Decisions announced March 17

Second application deadline (for new projects) May 1

Second application deadline (for applications under appeal*) May 29

(Dates for the second comparative committee may be put off a week if there are too many applications. Deadlines for development applications for fiscal 2000/2001 will be announced later.)

* Applications under appeal are those that were turned down by the first comparative committee and that have ‘undergone major changes compared with the initial application.’
