Montreal: Discreet Logic has won the International Image Outstanding Achievement Award for 2000, a technical program managed by the board of directors of the Banff Television Festival.

The award will be presented at the 2000 festival, set for June 11-16.

Based in Montreal and now a division of u.s.-based Autodesk, Discreet was named for its ‘acclaimed products for visual effects and animation, editing, production, game development and 3D design visualization.’

Discreet received a 1999 Scientific and Engineering Award for its Flame and Inferno editing and special-effects systems from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
