The CRTC will hold the long-awaited hearing regarding control and ownership of WIC Western International Communications in Hull, Que., on Oct. 26. The hearing was originally slated for May 3, but the commission decided to hold off until an agreement had been reached between Shaw Communications and CanWest Global regarding wic’s assets. However, no agreement has yet been announced.

With the hearing, the crtc will hear applications from wic with regard to the sale of 49% of wic’s voting shares and 52% of its non-voting shares to Shaw or an affiliate.
