Toronto-based direct-broadcast-satellite service Bell ExpressVu has added 17 new video channels to its roster, making Bell’s programming lineup the largest currently in Canada with 143 viewing choices. This is the second time this year Bell has increased its roster of channels; there is no additional charge to ExpressVu subscribers.
The new set of channels include robtv, Star!, Black Entertainment Television, The Health Network, Canadian Learning Television, Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, The Shopping Channel, MovieMax! (Mountain-time feed), Teletoon French (Mountain-time feed), cpac in English and French, L’Assemblee nationale du Quebec, Canal Savoir (cftu), Crossroads Television, Fairchild West, FOX West (kpcq Seattle) and the Saskatchewan Communications Network.
Bell hopes to have 200 channels (music and video) by Nov. 1, when it also hopes to launch its own pay-per-view service with 30 channels.
