The Ontario Film Development Corporation is putting some cash into the hands of up-and-coming producers and directors to help them create calling card films.

The recipients are producer Sarah Campbell and director Bill Marks for The Best, producer Robert Esposito and director Peter St.-Laurent for Notes from Mother, and producer Megan O’Neail and director Paul Carriere for Versatile.

Each team receives a grant of up to $30,000 along with $2,000 worth of Kodak film stock as credit toward the shooting budget of their 15- to 25-minute dramatic film.
