W. Judson Martin is the new executive vp and cfo at Alliance Atlantis Communications.

Martin will play a key role in the development and management of the company’s financial strategy and will be responsible for investor relations, the management of corporate banking and capital market requirements. In addition, he will be a member of the executive management committee.

In other aac news, the company has increased its financing facility with the Royal Bank of Canada, permitting it to draw up to an additional $75 million. The current amount outstanding is $52.9 million, which is fully secured by cash collateral held by aac in a restricted cash account. This financing facility is in addition to the company’s existing $475-million syndicated credit facility with the rbc and 13 other banks.
