A judging panel will find three winners out of 10 finalists vying for the first Shavick Award for the best emerging director in Western Canada. Finalists are Shaun Cathcart (Shift), Andrew Currie (Night of the Living), Wendy Hyman (Keys to Kingdom), Raul Sanchez Inglis (The Falling), Harry Killas (Babette’s Feet), Justin MacGregor (The Vigil), Claudia Morgado (Sabor a Mi) Marc Retailleau (Noroc), Jochen Schliessler (The Fisherman and His Wife) and Howie Woo (Stealing Kisses). Winners of the $10,000, $5,000 and $2,000 prizes will be announced June 7.
