*’Do you want to know why Bette has the best producers’ reel in town? She cares as much about the creative as the people who write it.’
Jack Neary
Chief creative officer
BBDO Canada, Toronto
*’As a colleague and a friend there is no one finer than Bette Minott. Each person she comes in contact with benefits from her professionalism, her talent and her caring. She’s one of a kind.’
Carmelle Prud’Homme
Producer
TBWA Chiat/Day
*’When I joined TBWA Chiat/Day in Toronto, the first thing I did was ask who was the best producer in town. Everyone gave me the same name: Bette Minott. I checked out her work. It was fabulous. I invited her to lunch and by the time the water arrived, I’d decided I had to hire her.
It took over a month of wooing, including shamelessly sending big bouquets of flowers, to win her over. But she joined, we did wonderful work together, and got named Agency of the Year. She’s quite simply one of the best producers I’ve ever worked with.’
Marty Cooke
Creative director
Merkley Newman Harty, New York
(Marty Cooke was formerly creative director at Chiat/Day, Toronto.)
*’Clients love Bette. Creative folks love Bette. Directors love Bette. Post-production people love Bette. Actors love Bette. I love Bette.’
Alan Kazmer
former Creative Director
DDB, Toronto
*’I have had the pleasure of knowing Bette Minott since 1929. She’s a lot older than she looks and most of the stories are too wild to print, but truly, I feel sorry for people who don’t have a friend like Bette in their lives.’
Ron Grittani
Executive producer
Blink Pictures, Toronto
*’She’s gracious, sophisticated, honorable and a great drinker. She is as much fun as a producer could possibly be.’
Michael Schwartz
Executive Producer
Avion Films, Toronto
*’Betty is one of those rare tv producers that brings a huge amount of creative talent to the production process.
Taste, trust and depth of
knowledge is everything in tv production (especially in this day and age of ‘Let’s give it to the flavor of the month’).
Betty has all of the above, and not only is she a delight to work with, but she exudes confidence every step of the way.
She’s also great fun at lunch!’
