Women in Film and Television Toronto will hold its 1999 Outstanding Achievement Awards gala on April 30 at the Fort York Armoury.

Receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards are Annabel Slaight, cofounder of Owl and executive producer of Owl tv, The Big Comfy Couch and Hello Mrs. Cherrywinkle, and late artist/filmmaker Joyce Wieland.

Other award recipients include Jan Miller, president of Lowenbe Holdings, director Stacey Stewart Curtis, producer Camelia Frieberg and Wayne Clarkson, executive director of the Canadian Film Centre.
