Montreal: Twelve Quebec-produced teleromans, sitcoms and drama series are currently attracting network 2+ audiences of over one million, according to Nielsen Media Research data for the week of Nov. 2-6.
Leading the rounds is the sitcom favorite La Petite Vie (Avanti) with 3,085,000 viewers, followed by the teleroman 4 et demi (Radio-Canada) with viewership of 1,965,000. Rounding out the top five are the teleroman Le Retour (JPL Productions) with 1,766,000, the sketch comedy Un gars, une fille (Avanti) with 1,451,000 and the fashion drama Diva (Sovimage) with 1,329,000.
Other Quebec-produced drama series with network audiences of one million or more include three teleromans: Ent’ Cadieux (jpl), 1,241,000; Les Machos (Point de Mire), 1,237,000; and Virginie (src), 1,224,000.
The historical drama Ces Enfants d’ailleurs (Match TV) attracted 1,223,000 viewers and the Victor-Levy Beaulieu-scripted teleroman Bouscotte drew 1,156,000.
Sauve qui peut (jpl) and the new sitcom Km/h (Productions Vendome) also pulled in over one million.
The newsroom drama Reseaux (Emergence) drew 932,000, while the top u.s. drama series in this market, Place Melrose (tva) and Salle Urgence (er) (tva), both drew just over 800,000.
