Director Jeff Jones hooked up with dop Derek Van Lint on a one-day job for Block Drugs, Phazyme out of Grey Advertising, New York. Editing took place in the u.s.

Director Clinton Ashton landed a day with dop George Willis for Remington. Blade Marketing was behind the creative, Grant Pye edited at Third Floor and Rob Jones handled f/x at Spin.

Rave director Stephen Scott and dop Marcus Elliott had a two-day shoot for Timex through Ogilvy & Mather. Greg Edgar edited the four spots – ‘I Quit,’ ‘Blender,’ ‘Gift’ and ‘Wrap’ – at Stealing Time.

Scott and Elliott teamed up for another two days on a Ponds assignment out of o&m and for two more days – one in Toronto, one in Saskatchewan – for Mayor’s Jewelers through Tinsley Advertising, Miami. Alex Eaton cut the Ponds job at Stealing Time and post on the Mayor’s was done in the u.s.

Scott and Van Lint had a one-day shoot for General Motors of Canada, Pontiac Buick gmc out of MacLaren McCann Retail. Pete McKeen cut the spot at Edge Productions.

In Vancouver, API Aviator Picture director Alan Lawrence took a look at the daily tooth-brushing routines of children, parents and couples in a one-day shoot for Q-Pharm. ‘Rocket’ Ron Williams was behind the lens, CD2 Advertising came up with the creative, and Deb Tregale at Coast Mountain handled the edit.

David Straiton directed and Steve Cosens lensed a day of Alberta landscapes and people for Canadian Direct Insurance through Catalyst/Vriak. Flashcut’s Brian Noon cut the spot.

Director Phil Brown and dop John Houtman got the call on a day for Telus Advanced Communications out of o&m. The spot, entitled ‘Crash,’ features a man in the back of a cab driving down a rainy street. Ian Jenkins edited at Coast Mountain.

At Apple Box Edmonton, director Bob Keates and dop John Spooner had three days on location in Edmonton for Disney’s A Bug’s Life through Thinkway Toys. Ted Tkachuk edited at Studio Post.

Cliff Skelton shot and directed a day for Mark’s Work Wearhouse through Watermark Advertising, Calgary. The three spots, for the Christmas season, were cut by Don McDonnell at J&B Post.

Skelton picked up another couple of days for the Alberta and Manitoba Ford Dealers Association out of y&r. Lensed in Winnipeg, the spot promotes the association’s sponsorship of the Pan Am Games. Calgary’s Leader Productions posted.

Apple Box Toronto director David Rosen landed two days for Great Lakes Crossing through Perich & Partners, Chicago. James Gardner was the dop and post on the three spots, centering on a mall, are being handled in the u.s.

At Apple Box Vancouver, Skelton had a day for the Autism Society of Canada, which offers a look at the world through the eyes of an autistic child. The job was through Grey Advertising and Skelton edited at Post Haste and Toy Box West.

Skelton also had a day on a psa about street youth shelter VanCity. Grey came up with the creative and McDonnell edited at Jayne Morris Berry Post.

Director Fred Frame and dop Glenn Taylor landed a day for ICBC Counterattack to illustrate what car thieves look for. The job was through Palmer Jarvis ddb and Deb Tregale edited at Coast Mountain.

Director/dop Scott Randall landed a one-day gig for BC Tel out of Cossette. Jayne Morris Berry edited at jmb.

Maxx Productions director Dan Hackett picked up a day for the Ontario Lottery Corporation through the Gingko Group. Gardner was the dop and Eaton handled the cut at Stealing Time.

The Partners’ Film Company director Raymond Bark and dop Sean Valentini teamed up on a six-day job for Vanderbilt Hospital through Lewis Advertising, Alabama. Post was done in the u.s.

Director Christina Hodnet and dop Mike Andringa landed three days for Trolli Gummi Candy through Scribner/Wonder Group, Cincinnati. Gerry Banning cut at Partners’ Post.
