* At the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, Peter Miller has been promoted to executive vp, policy, while former senior vp communications, Tina Van Dusen, who left the private broadcaster lobby group in 1996, has rejoined the cab as executive vp and coo.

* Former Alliance Communications senior vp corporate communications, Robert Pattillo, has joined Sun Life as vp public and corporate affairs.

* Micheline Raymond has joined production house Communications Claude Heroux as vp, acquisitions, development and distribution. Raymond has extensive industry experience with Astral Communications and Radio-Quebec (Tele-Quebec) and more recently headed acquisitions at Television Quatre Saisons.

* Andrew Austin has left his post as director of home entertainment at Odeon Films to head up Quebec-based distributor and financier Remstar’s Toronto office.

* Marie-Josee Marsan has been named vp business development with Groupe Covitec. Covitec is listed on the mse and supplies production, post-production and studio services.

* Vancouver’s Rainmaker Entertainment Group has hired Steve Gray, a veteran effects and games producer, to oversee enhanced computer-generated imaging operations and the development of a new interactive division at the company’s l.a. office.

* Adrienne Simic has left her post as manager marketing and communications at the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television to join pr firm Media Profile.

* CTV Sportsnet has named Tom Mayenknecht regional director of CTV Sportsnet Pacific.

* Terry David Mulligan has signed on as senior segment producer for Citytv’s celebrity program Startv, which premiered Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. Mulligan will continue to contribute to Bravo!, MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic.
