Denise Filitreault’s feature debut C’t’a ton tour, Laura Cadieux topped all movies at the Quebec box office with an opening 52-screen, four-day Thanksgiving Day weekend take of $455,496.

Based on data from Alex Films, Laura Cadieux far outdistanced the weekend’s second-place film, What Dreams May Come, which took in $295,910.

The film garnered an additional $70,000 on Oct. 13, bringing its official five-day total to over $520,000.

Distributed by Alliance Vivafilm, Laura Cadieux was produced by Cinemaginaire and is adapted from the Michel Tremblay novel.

Also distributed by Vivafilm, Robert Lepage’s No has box office receipts off $150,000 after its first three weeks.
