The Alliance for Children and Television has announced the nominees for this year’s Awards of Excellence.

Among the nominees are Nelvana for Little Bear, Franklin, Ned’s Newt and Stickin’ Around; Cinar for Caillou, Arthur, Animal Crackers and Emily of New Moon; tvontario for Inquiring Minds and Peace Breaks; Insight Productions for Ready or Not; Minds Eye Pictures for Incredible Story Studio; and Devine Productions for two episodes of The Inventor’s Specials.

The award categories are animation (preschool and school-age), information and instructional and drama.

The awards will be held in Montreal on Nov. 7 during the Children’s Television Conference.
