– Lions Gate renews with Odeon
Lions Gate Films has renewed its ‘nuts and bolts’ theatrical distribution service agreement with Odeon Films, says Odeon president Bryan Gliserman.
In early August, Lions Gate Films president Jeff Sackman confirmed that his company was re-evaluating the arrangement whereby Odeon performed the physical aspects of Lions Gate releases such as shipping, booking, etc.
Odeon will now continue to service Lions Gates’ slate of upcoming Canadian releases including Metroland in the first quarter of ’99.
Metroland is based on the Julian Barnes novel and stars Christian Bale, who may also rejoin the development of Lions Gates’ American Psycho now that Leonardo DiCaprio has stepped aside.
