Home Box Office, the premium American pay cable network, has licensed three Cinar Films animation series slated for the upcoming season: The Adventures of Paddington Bear, coproduced with Protecrea; The Country Mouse and City Mouse Adventures, a Readers Digest presentation produced in association with France Animation; and The Little Lulu Show, produced in association with Golden Books.

Cinar has also announced the start of production on Mona The Vampire, a 26 half-hour Canada/France coproduction with Alphanim presold to ytv, France 3 and Canal J.

Mona chronicles the adventures of a tweeny ’10-year-old vampire investigator extraordinaire’ who revels in the icky and eerie.
