News Brief: McClear survives B&E

McClear Pathe, one of Toronto’s largest sound studios, had a robbery attempt late last month.

Attempting to gain entry to the studio, a man threw a brick through the front window and inadvertently cut himself to shreds in the process. Bleeding profusely, the suspect made off with a Nagra recording device valued at $30,000 and a mug warmer worth approximately $3.50. When police arrived they called the hospital down the street where the robber was getting stitches. Charges have been laid.

Damages are estimated at $400 for the window. Both the Nagra and the mug warmer were retrieved.
