*Red Sky’s debut slate

Vancouver’s new distribution company Red Sky Entertainment unveiled its debut release slate of 13 titles Jan. 5. Among the films are La Comtesse De Baton Rouge by Quebec’s Andre Forcier, Big and Hairy, directed by Calgary’s Philip Spink, and Naomi Kawase’s Camera D’Or winner at the ’97 Cannes festival Suzaku.

Other titles include Beat Takeshi’s Hana-Bi (Fireworks), which won the Golden Lion best film award at the Venice festival, Stuart Urban’s fetish feature Preaching to the Perverted and thriller American Pefekt.

*TSC clearing series

Vancouver’s TSC Film Distribution has sold local prodco Force Four’s five-part parenting series Welcome To Parenting to wlrn Miami and Cornerstone Television, Wall, Pennsylvania.

Hoping to clear the u.s. syndication market in time for natpe, tsc has already sold the series in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
