Toronto’s Alliance Communications has completed the acquisition of l.a.-based television prodco Citadel Entertainment.
Citadel ceo David R. Ginsburg will remain at the helm. Citadel has more than 100 hours of movies in development or production including more than 20 titles set up at the major commercial broadcast networks. All existing development will continue to be supervised by the company and its producers.
In other Alliance-related news, distribution and production company Norstar Entertainment, on the record in November as seeking support, may have found a buyer. Although Alliance ceo Robert Lantos refused comment and David Simpson, senior vp and cfo for Norstar, says no comment, industry speculation has it that Alliance was the winning bidder for the company.
