Lions Gate Entertainment began trading on the tse late November. The Vancouver-based company is run by Frank Giustra and now owns North Shore Studios, cfp and Mandalay Television. A related private placement raised more than $60 million for Lions Gate.

Shares listed at $4.70 per share and closed the first day of trading unchanged on a volume of 24,300 shares.

Lions Gate went public through a reverse takeover of tse-listed shell company Beringer Gold Corp.

Cinar Films’ children’s series Wimzie’s House has a new partner in public television producer Maryland Public Television that will help Cinar continue bringing the pbs preschool Wimzie series to children across the u.s.

With the goal of better serving and responding to the needs of pbs stations nationwide, the companies have agreed to collaborate on sponsor development, educational outreach, publicity and promotion, and station relations.
