Commercial Directions: Staub scores Games, Robitussin shoots

The Partners’ Film Company director Clay Staub and dop Mirolsaw Baszak shot three spots for the Pan American Games through Palmer Jarvis, Winnipeg. David Baxter at Panic & Bob edited.

Staub teamed up with dop Chris Soos for three days of Robitussin out of Lowe & Partners/sms. Bruce Copeman edited at Axyz.

Director Don Allan and Soos shot one day for Canada Post through Vickers & Benson, with Mark Hajek of Partners’ Post editing.

Raymond Bark directed two days of Canada Savings Bonds through v&b. Peter Hartmann was behind the camera and David Hicks at Panic & Bob handled the post.

Bark and Baszak shot three days of mt&t through Corporate Communications, with Andy Attalai at Chameleon editing.

Bark also had one day of Kinder Surprise through Garneau Wurstlin Philip. Paul Sarossey was behind the camera and Jeff Bessner edited at Partners’ Post.

Director Fernando Arrioja and dop Ray Dumas shot one day for Horizon out of Kuleba & Shyllit Advertising. Partners’ Post’s Gerry Banning edited.

Director Matthew Vibert teamed up with dop Michael Andringa for one day of Home Hardware through Saffer Advertising. Chris Brook edited at Partners’ Post.

Partners’ director Gregory Sheppard and dop James Gardner shot two days for Blue Cross and The Schutte Group, with Bessner handling the edit.

Director Michael Cerny teamed up with Gardner for one day of Pepcid through Saatchi & Saatchi. Brant Lambermont handled the post at Third Floor.

Mark Tiedemann and dop Derek Vanlint shot one day of Pizza Hut out of bbdo. Barry Farrell edited at Smash.

Tiedemann and Baszak joined forces for two days of Campbell’s Chunky Soup through Young & Rubicam, New York. Vinny Pisciotta edited at Earth to Mars, New York.

Director Christina Hodnet and Vanlint teamed up on two days of P&M Foods out of Grey Advertising, with Bessner handling the edit.

Vanlint also directed and shot one day for Ikea through Roche MacCauley & Partners. Hicks edited at Panic & Bob.

Director Eric Yealland and Baszak shot three days for Bank of Montreal out of Vickers & Benson, with Hicks again editing.

Yealland got together with dop Glen Keenan for one day of El Paso through Leo Burnett, Chicago. Post is being done in the u.s.

Director Justin Klarenbeck and dop Peter Hartmann got the call on two days of cibc out of Padulo Advertising. Gerry Banning edited at Partners’ Post.

At The Ran Group, director Rick Madden and dop Gordon Miller shot one day of The Olde Hide House through Carpe Diem. Jim Cole edited at Ran.

Magic director/cameraman Bob Perks shot one day of Ford Trucks through y&r. Grant Pye will handle the edit at Third Floor.

Apple Box director David Rosen and dop George Willis teamed up for one day of Bell’s Visual Call Waiting through Leo Burnett. Daily Post’s Wendy Linton edited.

Rosen and dop John Houtman got together in Vancouver for one day of Cap Toys through Playground. Editing will be done in Detroit.

Director/dop Stanley Larson shot three days for Ben Bridge’s Christmas campaign. Evans Group was the agency and editing will be handled in Seattle.

Carlos Rusansky directed and John Spooner shot two days of Cannon Mills for Publicidad Unicom Mexico. Post will be done at Northwest Imaging in Vancouver.

Spooner also teamed up with director Hank Benson on a McDonald’s Arch Deluxe spot through Palmer Jarvis. Deb Tregale will be handling the edit at Coast Mountain in Vancouver.

Imported Artists director Richard D’Alessio and dop Simon Mestel shot four days of Kellogg’s Special k out of Leo Burnett. Alex Eaton edited at Stealing Time and Ted Rosnick composed some tunes at Rosnick MacKinnon.

D’Alessio and Mestel teamed up again for four days for the Hong Kong Bank. Agency for the spot was Bryant, Fulton & Shee, Vancouver, editor was Andy Ames at Panic & Bob and Rosnick did the music.

Director Stan Schofield and dop Gabor Tarko shot three days for Trimark’s rrsp campaign through Leo Burnett. Ames edited and Einstein Bros.’s Jody Colero added the music.

At the Directors Film Company, director Clinton Ashton shot his first national television spot, a Toyota Parts and Service ad through Saatchi, with George Willis behind the camera and Pye editing at Third Floor.

Director Robert Quartly and Willis got together on a spot for Dristan-Sinus through y&r. Hicks edited at Panic & Bob.
