A cheque for $100,000 from Miramax Films is wending its way to the folks in Flint, Michigan.

BBC Features and Mayfair International sold Miramax the North American, Latin American and Asian rights to Michael Moore’s The Big One, and the initial cheque is likely the first of many, as half Miramax’s profits on the doc will go to charitable works in Moore’s hometown.
