Commercial Directions: Marr, Willis shoot four days for McDonald’s

Director Curtis Wehrfritz shot two days through BBDO Vancouver for Alcan. Miroslaw Baszak was dop and Melanie Snagg at Coast Mountain handled post.

Steve Brook directed one day for the BC Lottery Corporation, with dop John Houtman behind the camera and Case editing.

At Maxx Productions, director/ dop David Simpson is off to Halifax to shoot a spot for Oland Breweries’ Schooner Beer through Corporate Communications. Andy Attalai at Chameleon will be handling post.

Director Larry August is shooting a spot for Casino Rama with dop Gabor Tarko through Marshall Fenn Communications. Alex Eaton at Stealing Time will be taking care of the post.

August is also shooting a spot through FCB Canada for General Mills with James Gardner behind the camera and Eaton, once again, looking after the post.

International Shooters director Lesley Robson-Foster shot two days for Cottonelle through Bozell Worldwide. Sean Valentini was dop and post was handled by Panic & Bob’s David Hicks.

The Partners’ Film Company’s director Allan Marr and dop George Willis shot four days of McDonald’s for Cossette Communication-Marketing. Handling post is Brian Williams of Panic & Bob.

Matthew Vibert directed one day of Liberty Health through Grey Advertising. dop was Ray Dumas and Tara Law of Partners’ Post edited.

Vibert also shot two days for Foodland Ontario through Gingko Advertising, with Derek Vanlint behind the camera. Editor was Jeff Bessner of Partners’ Post.

Kessler Irish Films director Michael Grasso and dop Andre Pienaar had two days for Compaq Computers through Ammirati Puris Lintas, with Bob Kennedy of Flashcut editing.

Baszak shot one day at Edgefest for Molson Canadian spot ‘Blind Date’ through Encore Encore Strategic Marketing. Michelle Czukar of Panic & Bob edited.

Apple Box director Bob Keates and dop Martin Julian shot one day for Time Life Music through the Time Life Agency. Post is being handled by Henninger Arlington.

Louder Music recorded the original music track for a Mastercard spot through Communique. Track director and composer was David Krystal, production manager was Christine Leslie, and recording studio digital music engineer was Mike Jones.

Tantrum is busy coming up with new sound ideas for ctv’s News 1, which g’es on air in September.

And Rosnick MacKinnon has just completed two spots for Budweiser through Bozell. Steve MacKinnon, meanwhile, is working on a new spot for Coke through MacLaren McCann as well as tv and cinema spots for Dentyne Ice through Bates.
