Commercial Directions: Cerny, Gardner and Leech called by Sprint

At The Directors Film Company director Robert Quartly and dop Rene Ohashi shot two days for Campbell Soup Classics through bbdo. Chris Parkins of Flashcut will be handling the post.

Circle director Stephen Yeates shot two days for Naturalizer Sh’es from Louis London Advertising in St. Louis. Behind the camera was Andre Pienaar and editing is being done in the u.s.

Louis Lyne shot two days for Pace Salsa through FCB Canada. James Gardner was on camera and Brian Williams of Panic & Bob is editing.

Director James Hyslop shot one day for Fram Oil Filters through Ambrose Carr. Glen Keenan was dop and Calvin Grant of Chiaroscuro Productions will be handling the post.

At The Partners’ Film Company, Bob Rice directed two days for Christie’s through Harrod & Mirlin. Doug Koch was dop and Jeff Bessner of Partners’ Post handled the edit.

Michael Cerny directed one day for McDonald’s for Cossette with Miroslaw Baszak on camera. Williams of Panic & Bob is handling the post.

Cerny also shot four days for Sprint pcs for Draft Direct Worldwide with Gardner as dop. Post is being handled in the u.s. Cerny stayed busy with two days of Downy through Grey Advertising with Ohashi behind the camera and James Taylor of Partners’ Post doing the edit.

Gardner shot and directed one day of Colgate Palmolive Caribbean for Soje/Lonsdale with Partners’ Post’s Chris Brook as editor.

Ian Leech was director and cameraman for four days of Sprint through Grey Advertising. Andy Ames of Panic & Bob is the editor.

Director Floria Sigismondi shot three days of Coca-Cola for MacLaren McCann with dop Chris Soos. Michelle Czukar of Panic & Bob edited.

Eric Yealland directed two days for the Brewers Association of Canada through The Gingko Group. On camera was Alar Kivilo and Partners’ Post’s Brook took care of the edit.

In Toronto Apple Box director Fred Frame and dop Gardner shot one day for Bonus Instant Bingo through Promanad Communications. Leo Zaharatos of Chameleon is handling the edit.

On the West Coast, director Carlos Rusansky and dop John Spooner will be shooting two days for wic through Planet Creative. Post will be done at Studio Post by Paul Smart.

Director Tony Pantages and dop Shawn Lawless will shoot one day for Playland through Palmer Jarvis. Post will be done at Post Haste by Don McDonnell.

Lawless will stay busy directing and shooting two days for the BC Packers. Wassermann is the agency and Coast Mountain’s Melanie Snagg will handle the edit.

Peter O’Fallon and dop Chris Baffa will shoot two days for Molson Old Style Pilsner through bbdo. Post will be done at Coast Mountain by Ian Jenkins.

At Angel Films, director Richard Picton is shooting three days for Kraft through Leo Burnett. Post is being done at Ultra Lounge by Marcelle Faucher.

Revolver director Drew Jarvis shot three days for ymca with Mike Andringa as dop. Jarvis also shot one day with dop Baszak through DDB Canada for Kibbles n’ Bits. Anthony Corindia of Partners handled post for both.

And with Andringa behind the camera, Jarvis shot one day for Bic Inc. through Beakbane Marketing. Edit was done by Ray Cole at Coledit.

Maxx Productions director Dan Hackett shot one day with dop Gabor Tarko through Durnan Communications for the Molson Indy. Post is being done by Wendy Lanning of Panic & Bob.

Hackett also shot two spots for Nestle Parlour Signature Ice Cream with Publicis bcp. Tarko is once again dop and post is being handled by Gillian McCarthy at Third Floor.

Director Larry August shot one spot for Lotto Super 7 through Cossette. Gardner is dop and Griff Henderson of Panic & Bob is editor.

At Avion, director John Zurik shot two days for Midas with Stan Mestel as dop through Ogilvy & Mather. Alex Eaton at Stealing Time is handling the edit.

Director/cameraman Adolfo Doring shot two days through Lotus Minard Patton McIver, New York for Jordache. Post is being handled in the u.s.

Avion director Henry Holtzman and dop Simon Mestel shot one day for Labatt through Ammirati Puris Lintas. Post was done by Andy Attalai at Chameleon.

Jean-Marc Piche and dop Barry Parrell shot one day for Majesta through Cossette with Wendy Linton of The Daily Post handling the edit.

ltb director Gary Weis shot four days of Leon’s for Bensimon Byrne dmb&b. Edit is being taken care of by Chris Van Dyke at The Daily Post.

At Magic, director Derek Case and cameraman Chris Berry shot one day for kfc through Ogilvy & Mather. Post is being done at Panic & Bob by Williams.

On the musical side of things, Tantrum Productions just finished adding the music to four spots for Coors Light through FCB Canada. Spot director was David Cameron.

Tantrum also worked on six spots for the Ontario Science Centre through Revolver and bam with Allan Mestel directing. And through FCB Canada and Spy Films they added the music to two spots for Honey Nut Cheerios.

At Rosnick MacKinnon, Ted Rosnick added music to two spots through Young & Rubicam for Colgate, two spots through Promanad for Blizzak, four spots for Fruit of the Loom through Leo Burnett and a spot for Vidal Sassoon out of Tatham Euro, Chicago.

Steve MacKinnon is busy adding the music to spots for Labatt Ice and Labatt Blue through Ammirati Puris Lintas and to a new spot for at&t through Young and Rubicam.

In the last edition of Commercial Directions, the editor for Philip Kates’ Mastercard spot from Communique and Radke should have been listed as Panic & Bob’s David Baxter not that company’s Andy Ames.
