The 46th International Filmfestival Mannheim Heidelberg has expanded this year to include films from Canada and the u.s. and will be running a new cofinancing conference, Projekt Markt.

Projekt Markt is structured to concentrate on different regions of the world individually, allowing producers to discuss concrete film projects with their prospective coproducers.

The event is one of the oldest film festivals in the world and remains strictly dedicated to art film. Offering prizes and cash for features, shorts and documentaries, the festival runs from Oct. 10-18.
