Big Bang Animation, a four-year-old Montreal 3D, special-effects and multimedia producer, has split in two, ending the business partnership between founders Mario Rachiele, Danny Bergeron and Dominique St. Louis.

Most of the creative staff employed with Big Bang Animation have moved with Rachiele to a new location in Old Montreal. Bergeron and St. Louis are temporarily operating under the name Big Bang Images, the multimedia division, an agreement Rachiele says expires May 6.
