Ottawa has agreed to ‘consider’ local representation for British Columbia on the board of the CTCPF.

Heritage Minister Sheila Copps has also guaranteed that the ctcpf board will consult with the b.c. industry in developing guidelines.

Atlantis Films confirms that U.S. cable network Lifetime Television has not renewed Traders for another season.

Lifetime aired season one beginning Sept. 3, 1996. A deal on season two was pending. Lifetime reaches 64 million American households.

Atlantis spokesperson Jeremy Katz says the first two seasons were entirely financed in Canada in combination with its overseas sales potential. ‘The same formula is easily applied to a third season.’
