At Aviator Pictures in Vancouver, David Tennant directed a day for ikon through Glennie Stamnes Strategy. dop on the 30-second spot was John Houtman. Director Phil Brown also teamed up with Houtman on a three-day shoot for cknw.

At Circle Productions, Stephen Yeates wrapped four days in Calgary for a 30-second AGT-Telus spot through Ogilvy & Mather West. James Gardner was the dop and Louis Lyne edited.

Yeates also shot and directed a day for Kraft Shake ‘N Bake through bbdo. The 30-second spot was edited by Atomic’s David Buder. Yeates and Gardner had another two days for Sears through o&m Chicago. The two 60s will be posted in the u.s.

Circle director Robert Turner also got a call from AGT-Telus, shooting two days with dop Ron Williams. Lyne edited the two 30s. Turner and Williams teamed again on two 30s for Whitespot Restaurants in Vancouver. The two-day shoot was through Harrod & Mirlin.

And Ron Ames directed two days for Tide Lemon, with Doug Koch shooting. Andy Attalai at Chameleon edited the 30-second spot, assigned out of Saatchi & Saatchi. Ames also landed three days in Vancouver on two 30s for Charmin through dmb&b New York. Paul Goldsmith was on camera. Post was handled in the u.s.

Over at Imported Artists, Richard D’Alessio wrapped a 30 for General Motors’ GMC Sonoma out of MacLaren:McCann. Andre Pienaar shot and Partners’ Post’s Mark Hajek, assisted by Lisa Robertson, edited. Einstein Bros. handled music.

David McNally at The Players Film Company directed a 30-second spot in Montreal for Tresemme, an Alberto-Culver product. Nixon Binny was dop on the two-day shoot out of Lois/USA, Chicago. Editing took place at Swell Pictures in Chicago.

Then it was off to San Juan for McNally and Binny, shooting a 30 and three 15s for Alberto European styling products. The assignment was through Bozell Palmer Bonner, with post handled by David Hicks at Panic and Bob. McNally also landed two days out of Leo Burnett for Noxzema. Rene Ohashi shot and Brant Lambermont at Partners’ Post edited.

Radke’s Rob Pritts and dop Peter Donahue picked up two days for Chrysler out of bbdo. Third Floor’s Gillian McCarthy edited the 30. Director Philip Kates spent a day in studio and a day on location for Catholic Health Care through Katsin/Loeb, San Francisco. Pienaar was dop on the two 30s.

Jeff Jones directed a 30 for Dairy Queen out of bbdo. Gabor Tarko was the dop and Lambermont edited.

Martin Shewchuk directed three days for Colombian Coffee through DDB Needham, New York. Koch shot the three 30s. Shewchuk and Tarko also teamed up on three other jobs: a day for Frosted Flakes through Leo Burnett, with Panic and Bob’s Andy Ames editing; four days for Vicks out of dmb&b, with Ames posting the four 30s; and two days for President’s Choice through Durnan Communications, with Flashcut’s Bob Kennedy editing the three 30s.

At Maxx Productions, David Simpson was director/dop on two spots for S.C. Johnson through FCB Canada. Alex Eaton at Third Floor handled post.

Magic’s Derek Case had a day for East Side Marios through Stringer Veroni Ketchum, a day for Old El Paso through Leo Burnett, a two-day psa for Junior Achievement through The Creative Buffet, and a day for Crest through dmb&b.

At L.T.B. Productions, director George D’Amato landed a three-day shoot for Rogers Cable in Vancouver through Lanyon Phillips Partners, with George Willis on camera and Debbie Tregale at Coast Mountain Productions editing.

Christopher Gentile directed two days for Tiger Electronics out of Posnick & Kolker. Harry Makin was dop on the two-day shoot. Post is being handled by Power Post and Big Picture in New York.

At comm.bat films, David Storey wrapped two days for Bridgestone/Firestone Blizzack Tires through Promanad. Craig Mullins shot and Hicks edited.

Steve Gordon was director/dop on a Wal-Mart fall event commercial through SMW Advertising. The Daily Post’s Chris Van Dyke edited. For Loyalty Management Group, Gordon shot and directed three days. Chameleon’s Attalai edited the three spots out of Young & Rubicam.

Director/dop Dan Izzard picked up a Procter & Gamble commercial out of Leo Burnett, with Marty Kravshik at Reel Ideas editing.
