At The Artists Company, Gillean Proctor wrapped two days for Lady Speed Stick out of Young and Rubicam at cbc’s Studio 40 in Vancouver. David Herrington was dop and Daily Post’s Peter McCauley edited. Director Bill Hudson and dop Sal Guida had two days at Studio Oasis for Bell Mobility and Cossette Communications. Leo Zaharatos at Chameleon handled post.
Bongard Films produced three 30s for True Value Hardware Canada, assigned by Bates O’Rourke Communications. The three-day location shoot in Toronto and Hamilton saw Ralph Bongard as director/ dop, with Bob Buchan producing and editing. Post and special effects were handled by Eyes Post Group.
Maxx Productions’ Larry August directed two 30-second Shoppers Drug Mart commercials through TBWA Chiat/Day. James Gardner shot and Zaharatos edited. Director Larry August wrapped another shoot with Gardner for Whitehall-Robins, Dimetapp. Alex Eaton at Third Floor edited the 15- and 30-second spots.
Over at Avion, director/dop Matthew Harris picked up three 30s for Parker Brothers out of Grey Advertising, New York, and Peter Klein shot and directed two days for Chrysler, assigned through bbdo. A two-day shoot for Wampler Foods teamed up director John Zurik and dop Stanley Mestel. The two 30-second spots were assigned out of The Weightman Group, Philadelphia.
Circle Productions’ Robert Turner wrapped a seven-day shoot for Young and Rubicam Detroit’s Lincoln Mercury campaign, which stars Kate Jackson. Turner also picked up two days on a six-day shoot in Calgary for agt, assigned by o&m, Calgary. Stephen Yeates directed the first four days.
At Rave Films, Pablo Fairhall and dop Marcus Elliott were off to Mexico City for a two-day video shoot for Big Sugar, assigned by A&M Records. Richard Cooperman edited.
David Straiton directed a day for Kinder Toys out of Lowe sms. Ray Dumas shot the 30 and The Daily Post’s Archie Van Dyke edited. Straiton also had a day for Cheerios through Saatchi and Saatchi, New York, with Barry Parrell the dop. The commercial is being posted in New York.
Also at Rave, Keith Harrick wrapped a psa for the Toronto Library Board through y&r. The four 15-second spots were shot by Craig Mullins.
Willi Patterson of Kessler Irish Films directed three days in Oshawa for Scudder Mutual Fund. Michael Buckley was dop and Panic and Bob’s David Baxter edited the 60.
DMC Media has given Big Star Motion Pictures an upcoming Italpasta spot, to be directed by Giacomo Moncada, shot by Adam Swica and cut in-house by Peer Engelhardt.
