Due to copy glitches, Playback named Gus Van Sant as the opening luncheon speaker when in fact Premier Glen Clark is the designated keynote speaker on Oct. 9, and on New Filmmakers’ Day, Norman Jewison is giving the opening speech, not moderating a panel (Bruce McDonald is moderating with local filmmaker Michelle Demers). We apologize for any consternation caused by the error.
