Montreal World Film Festival: News Brief: New Rudolph film arrives in Montreal

Director Alan Rudolph (The Moderns, Mrs. Parker & The Vicious Circle) is in Montreal prepping on After Glow, a 34-day feature film shoot produced by Robert Altman.

The film has a monied, chic, urban setting with locations to match (Upper Westmount, Holt Renfrew, The Ritz) and stars Julie Christie, Johnny Lee Miller (Trainspotting) and Nick Nolte, also slated for an appearance for the Montreal World Film Festival’s Canadian premiere of Mother Night.

stcvq crew includes pm Richard Lalonde, art director Francois Seguin and costume designer Francois Barbeau.

After Glow’s producers expect to spend $6 million in Quebec. The shoot goes from Sept. 7 to late October.
