Toronto’s Spot Film and Video lab has officially closed its doors after being in receivership since 1994. Receiver Marvin Zweig is currently selling the facility’s equipment, and says there are interested parties.

Meanwhile, as rumors of a new commercial lab swirl, former Spot gm Al Lindsay denies speculation he is planning to open a new facility, though he says he will ‘surface in the industry’ soon.

Portfolio Film & Television and J.A. Delmage Productions’ Groundling Marsh debuts on the Disney Channel in the u.s. and the u.k. next month. ytv has doubled its order from 13 to 26 episodes for season four of the kids’ puppet series, making the magical 65-episode nut, and will air it as a strip come September.
