The Random Factory Producers Group, a new Toronto-based film, video and tv company comprised of John Martin, Dennis Murphy, Jamie Mandelkau and Gene Mascardelli, has cut its teeth on a musical drama for Bravo!

Slated to air June 5, Buried Alive in the Blues is based on the life of Janis Joplin and features Canadian singer/actress Jane Lupton.

Among the book properties the company has optioned for film and tv are The Journey of the Magi – In Search of the Birth of Jesus, by Paul William Roberts and Northern Dancer, The Legend and His Legacy, by Muriel Lennox.
