The output agreement between Malofilm Distribution and October Films, as reported on page 1 of the May 20 issue, does not include rights to Lars von Trier’s Breaking the Waves, nor the ’96 Palme d’Or winner, Mike Leigh’s Secrets and Lies. Astral Films had previously acquired the Canadian distribution English-language rights to the Palme d’Or runner-up Breaking The Waves, as well as two other October titles, The Funeral and Female Perversions. Alliance Releasing has the rights to Secrets and Lies in Canada.
