The following Ontario-based fund was not included in the May 20 listing of provincial funding and investment sources:

Diversi Film & Video

formerly the Racial Equity Fund, dfv is a non-profit organization with a mandate to encourage the participation of first-time and emerging filmmakers from the aboriginal, African, Asian, Black, Caribbean, Mexican and Central and South American communities in Canadian cinema. dfv is cosponsored by the ofdc and supported by the nfb.

dfv offers grants for development, production and post-production in an annual adjudication usually held in November or December. In light of recent cuts to the ofdc, dfv will be stepping up private fundraising efforts. The 1996/97 grant deadlines and ceilings have not yet been announced.
