Montreal: Producer Benoit Perriau has joined Jet Films as executive producer.
Perriau was one of Montreal’s top freelance agency producers for over 10 years, with extensive credits in beer and automotive shoots. In 1992, he cofounded Figaro Films International with Michel Sarao, but sold his interest in the company last March.
Perriau says he joined Jet with a view to expanding the company’s production slate.
‘I guess the starting point is that I have wide-ranging experience in the milieu and Jacques Langlois (Jet’s president) succeeded in convincing me to contribute, in the local market and internationally,’
Jet’s Quebec director lineup includes Michel David, Christian Langlois, Sylvain Archambault, Frederic Desjardins, Louis-Pascal Couvelaire, a Paris-based director who works increasingly in Montreal, and Andre Melancon, who’s on his way to Argentina for a Kellogg’s shoot. Jet has fraternal ties with two Toronto commercial houses, Radke Films and Otherworld.
