LTB Productions has landed a big project through Posnick & Kolker of New York City which will involve three different directing teams. Director Christopher Gentile will handle three shoot days, director/dop CB Harding takes on a prelight and two shoot days, and director Vince Misiano has a prelight and six shoot days.
Revolver’s Sally Leggett directed and produced a day for Ford through Young & Rubicam early in January. She teamed with dop Rob Garrard. Brian Williams at Partners’ Post edited. Mitch Gabourie, working with dop Miroslaw Baszak, picked up a day for ReMax through Kuleba Shyllit Advertising. Partners’ Michelle Czukar is the editor. David Hedley will be editing the results of a one-day shoot directed and lensed by Craig Mullins for The Cancer Society. The agency is Media Plus in Ottawa.
Radke Films director Philip Kates picked up a studio day through Cossette for McDonald’s early this month. The dop was Andre Pienaar and Flashcut’s Chris Parkins was the editor.
Kates and Pienaar picked up another two days for Special K through Leo Burnett, with Gillian McCarthy at Third Floor editing.
Pienaar was also the dop on a two-day shoot directed by Wayne Gibson for Petro-Canada through Roche Macaulay and Partners. Partners’ David Hicks will edit. Jeff Jones and dop Nick Allen-Woolfe picked up a prelight and a studio day for Imodium through Anderson Advertising. Norm Odell at Flashcut will handle editing duties.
Director Martin Granger of Avion has just wrapped a day for Smith Kline Beecham through smw lensed by Simon Mestel. Later this month, Tim Hamilton, working with dop George Morita, will shoot four days for Chrysler through bbdo. Morita will be picking up two days as director/dop for Dempsters out of Harrod & Mirlin.
Dalton Films director David Straiton and dop Barry Parrell will be picking up two days for Coca-Cola and one for Scotia Bank, both through Cossette.
In Montreal, Figaro Films director/dop Glenn Bydwell shot a French/English 30 for Loto-Quebec’s Celebration ’96 promotion and agency Cossette. The spots feature the music of Jean-Marie Benoit. Director Cosimo Cavallaro, recently named bcp director of the year, teamed with dop Peter Hartmann on a major eight-day corporate shoot, including five days in Scotland, for Standard Life and agency Armada Bates. L’Oreille Cassee prepared the music. Centre de Montage Electronique handled the transfer and online. The offline edit is being done at Montage Metaphore.
At Jet Films, recent action includes two 30s for Banque National and agency LG2 from director Christian Langlois, a new 30 for Habitant Soup and PNMD/ Publitel for director Michel David, and a Pages Jaunes/Yellow Pages pool out of BCP-Quebec featuring a Softimage magnetic motion-capture sequence for director Frederique Desjardins.
