Numbers: Weather net metered

The Weather Network and Meteomedia, a division of Toronto-based Pelmorex Communications, began publishing in the Nielsen weekly reports for the first time beginning Sept. 15.

According to Nielsen Marketing Research, between 6 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. during the week of Aug. 28, an average of 2,390 households tuned into twn and an average 1,051 households to its French-language counterpart, Meteomedia. For twn, the average number of 18+ viewers for that same time slot numbered 3,387, with an average of 1,708 of them women.

Numbers for Meteomedia show 1,446 viewers 18+ for the same time span, splitting almost equally between men and women, 725 and 721 respectively.
