According to the recently published annual report from the Maclean Hunter Television Fund, a record $3.7 million was invested in the production of 99 hours of Canadian fiction and children’s television series in 1994. The ’94 investment is an increase of $1 million or 34% over the ’93 total. In four years, the fund has invested $12.2 million in 43 tv series and 13 pilots.

(ytv); The Composers’ Special, Videowork (Family Channel, cfcf); Destiny Ridge II, Atlantis Films (CanWest Global); Grounding Marsh II, Grounding Marsh Productions, (ytv); La Princesse astronaute II, Productions Sogestalt (Canal Famille); Le Sorcier, Communications Claude Heroux International (tva); Les Grands proces II, Productions Les Grands proces (tva); Livrofolie III, acpav (Canal Famille); Madison II, Forefront (Mad High) Productions (CanWest Global); Misericorde, Productions Neofilms (Television Quatre Saisons); Rene Levesque, cchi (tva); Take Off II, Friday Street Productions (Canal Famille, tvontario).
Pilots receiving funding in ’94 included Link, Animations Cine Groupe J.P. (ctv); Nobody’s Business, WDC Entertainment (itv, Superchannel, wic); and Paris Crew, Sheppard Kovalski (Global).
