Revenues increased to $299.2 million, compared with $266.7 million for the same period last year. Astral attributes the increase to a strong performance in the video duplication division as well as the new operations: AstralTech Americas, the cd replication plant, Moviepix, the pay-tv service, and CANAL D, the French-language doc and entertainment channel.

Net earnings are down 16.9% (from $5.9 million to $4.9 million). Accounting guidelines did not allow tax benefits from losses incurred at AstralTech, resulting in an increase of the company’s tax rate.
