Fundy deal approved
The crtc has approved a deal which will see Saint John-based Fundy Cable take control of Cable 2000, licensee of 31 cable distribution systems located in New Brunswick. crtc chair Keith Spicer noted that Fundy Cable is committed to substantially improving channel capacity at no extra cost to subscribers. Fundy offered $75 million to acquire control of Cable 2000, which included the assumption of the existing debt of $25 million.
