New Montreal studio

Dan Shannon has opened Montreal’s newest technical services facility, Shanda Studio, a 5,000-square-foot production complex offering Betacam sp shooting packages, a 1,000-square-foot soundstage, and 2D and 3D Lightwave animation services, backed up by a Matrox Studio pc-based audio/video editor.

Located downtown, Shanda’s main edit suite is an a/b roll system with up to four layers of simultaneous graphics and video using three channels of dve. The company also offers digital audio editing, a music and s/fx library, and online Betacam sp editing.

Shanno is joined at Shanda by Isabelle Depelteau, vp and creative head; Marie Bolduc, marketing director; Francois Joly, editor; and James Malloch, 3D animator.
