re: ‘Stability and consolidation’ in the March 27 Special Report on Production in Alberta which stated the most obvious hole in Alberta’s physical infrastructure is the lack of a full-service lab and film transfer facility and an audio facility.

In fact, Edmonton’s Studio Post and Transfer provides both negative developing at its new lab and full-service video post operations.

However, we wish to clarify that this concern was raised by the local producers who were referring to a full-service lab facility providing services such as interpositive prints, duplicate negatives, answer prints, low-contrast print, wetgate printing and release prints, and a full-service audio facility as complete with digital audio editing workstations, foley studio, adr room for any environment and mixing stage with a 12-foot and 30-foot screen for both television and features work.
