Imax Corporation is back in black. For the first quarter of ’95 ending March 31, the company reports net income of $389,000, or us$0.01 per share, and revenues of $2.7 million, up 7% over the same period last year.

The company reported a 10% increase in backlog growth (which represents firm deals for new theaters not yet in place) over the last quarter, which ended Dec. 31, 1994. Imax did $17 million worth of theater systems deals in the first quarter, which brought the sales backlog level up to a record $124 million.
