Montreal: Canal Premiere/Viewer’s Choice Canada, controlled by Astral Communications, Cogeco Radio-Television, Reseau de Television Quatre Saisons and Tele-Metropole, owner of the TVA Television Network, have announced an agreement to establish a French-language pay-per-view television company.

An licence application will be filed with the crtc shortly.

Last spring, Astral and Chapiteau, a consortium of five French-language broadcasters, filed competing ppv submissions with the crtc. In a controversial decision, both applications were turned down. LRB
