Star-studded WFF jury
French actress Carole Bouquet and American actor/director Dennis Hopper have been named copresidents of the jury for the 18th edition of the Montreal World Film Festival, running Aug. 25 to Sept. 5.
Hopper won the wff best actor award in 1986 for his performance in David Lynch’s Blue Velvet.
Bouquet’s latest film is Grosse fatigue, an Action Film comedy from director Michel Blanc, which will have its North American premiere at this year’s festival. Bouquet’s credits include Louis Bunuel’s Cet obscur objet du desir, and Francis Ford Coppola’s New York Stories.
Programming for this year’s wff will be announced by festival directors Serge Losique and Daniele Cauchard on Aug. 9.
